Hey Vic thanks for the advice.
Hey Mike again thanks alot for the kind offer. I can confirm that the central shaft does have a groove for a C-clip. I have managed to find a parts donar 356 dizzy that was given to me by a mate. Amazingly this dizzy had the correct washer spacer and C-clip that fits my 85 Carerra dizzy like a glove. :) http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...9/eeea752d.jpg So the dizzy is clean and all back together. :) Now all I have to do is slot it back in the car point it at TDC on the rim matching the Z1 marking and the car should wake from its slumber ready for classic LeMans :) I'll keep you guys posted on my success or failure. Cheers Alam |
Alan...ups!!! I didn't notice your location..!
No problem. Just one advice . If you can get 2 new springs for your Centrifugal Advance is going to be real nice for you . Looking at your Dist, pix I'll clean it real nice with turpentine and compressed air., and re-lubricate with Lithium grease. This Dist. Operates at a very hi temp enviroment and tend to get dry. Put the 2 new spring (similar in presure) and re-lubricate. This Article will be real nice for you <http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/rice_ramblings/rice_ramblings-3.htm> Good luck VicSmileWavy http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1148163467.gif |
Thanks Vic, I will re lube my dizzy.
Thanks to everyone for helping with great advice. My 911 started today and it sounds better and badder than before. The sound is so much smoother and nicer. :) Its raining here in London, so I am waiting to take my car for a run. Thanks again all. :) Alam |
