Perma-tune CD box
What year 911's does this Perma-Tune CD box fit? It has three pins across with two pins above them. part # 911 602 702 01 model # 11-75. And what's it worth. I want to sell it.
Thanks, Ron ![]() ![]()

The "Perma-Doom" unit for my '74 looked just like that one. I threw mine out and replaced it with a rebuilt Bosch unit. I think that unit is for 73-77 models, but you can check the permatune website to be sure.

Is this the original blue perma-junk? If so, I believe these units were not as prone to failure as the silver pieces of. If Warren or Grady don't chime in, I'd re-post this as a Blue Perma-*&@# box.
I don't know if there is value in them...

FWIW, my 77 came w/ a blue Permatune when I bought it, in Jan 89. It was still working 85,000 mi later when I replaced it w/ an MSD.

Yeah, I've heard of several of these cases which I believe to be true. Always wondered why a few worked and so many others would fail.

It may just be as simple as "they don't make them like they used to". There may have been a change in design or quality between the old (blue) and newer (silver) ones.

I got one, now I am wondering if it is causing an intermittent stumble after hard driving (DE) and a slight stumble between 2200-2800 RPM

Put an OEM Bosch back in if you still have one, and see what happens. My Permatune didn't do well with heat--doesn't phase the Bosch. The stumble could be one of many things.

It looks just like the one I got in a box of parts.....
I have 2 Bosch CD boxes for my 914/6. I use the permatune box for a wheel chock.
