Performance oriented shop in Sacramento area?

I've been taking my car to a fine shop that works on many foreign brands including lots of Porsches. But I want to find a more performance oriented shop in the area that would be able to go to the next level in terms of tricking out my car. Anyone know of this type of shop in the area? Thanks!

I did my PPI at IPB Autosport. Not only did the mechanic test drive my car the owner of the shop took me out and talked me through what he found. The owner also races a scary looking 914-6 and other race cars were at his shop that day. I recall that he advertises competition suspension set up services and he had a race engine on a stand. I have heard good things about both IPB and Frank's, I would guess IPB is more performance oriented.

I would call Jimmy of Mobile Works East. He has a great reputation, resonable rates and is also a Pelican! Dedicated Porsche 911 mechanic. Just do a search on his name you will find his info.

I've taken my car to both shops. They're both great shops, but IPB is more race-minded. Another shop with some performance bent is Schatz & Krum; they did my transmission and set it up for cooling.

I've been taking my car to Franks since I bought it a year and a half ago. Frank, Nick and the crew are great but they have not been able to solve my handling issue and I thought a more performance - porsched oriented shop might have more knowledge. Maybe I'm wrong but my alignment/suspension problem is frustrating and not yet solved despite several, at least3, visits. Maybe I need more knowledge? Yo! Who Knows!?

summers3d,

Save yourself a ton on labor cost and check out Jimmy. He'll come to your house to work on your car. You don't need to leave it at a shop. You can watch while he works on her and learn something about your car.
