pickupguy - what do you think? part 2
"I purchased this engine from a member of this forum (name witheld at this point) and was told engine had 57,000 miles on it and a "top end job" 1,000 miles ago. What are your impressions?"
What do you think? I wanted to post my opinion on this and felt that the matter should be bought to a conclusion on the forum - i'd be interested to know the outcome and it has more technical content than half the threads on the board!! In my opinion (from what I have read) Gary appears to be a standup guy and just made the mistake of standing behind the sale of an engine he did not know enough about when he really should have used a disclaimer - he should swallow his pride, save his reputation and refund the cash. Lesson learned. As for the exhaust hardware Noah, surely that would have been removed in the "top end rebuild" Good luck pickupguy. JMHO, thanks you can close the thread now.......

It does seem rather disingenuous that this thread was arbitrarily closed (do a search for motormeister).
This transaction took place as a result of the resources provided by the Pelican Parts BBS and it seems to me those same resources should be available to settle this. |

i would have simply moved it to 'ot'...pickupguy's thread pales by comparison to the mud-slinging which routinely goes on there.
