My New 911SC, pics after mods.

Last month I showed pictures of my new to me 911SC. Now after adding a tail, new front spoiler and refinishing the front valance, new seats and adding some carpet to replace the rear seats with an RS look.
This is how I got it.

These are how the car looks now.

This looks odd, the flash made the new carpet look a totally different color but in natural light to the naked eye they are really really close.

I plan to have the seats recovered in black soon.

Great car.
Are you going to join the Orange County crowd on our drive up to Big Bear in June? We will be leaving from Redlands so the starting point is just as far for you as us.........

Love to see your car there!

Hmmm... I went just the opposite way with my Silver 87. It came with the tail and I couldn't wait to be rid of it. Now it's sitting on a chair in my room gathering dust. Too bad we didn't hook up!

Not a fan of whaletails unless they are required ie turbo.

I'm am one who likes the tails on these cars which is lucky for me because I plan to track this car and they are definitely better at speed with spoilers.

Thanks everyone.

I think it looks great, and I love the look of the Carrera-style tail - its a little cleaner looking than the regular SC whale tail I reckon.

When the seats are recovered its going to be a beauty.

It's a Carrera or RS America tail. Looks great!

Is that SC coupe "Silver metalic" or another/later type silver?

I love everything about that car, the seats would grow on me quickly - as is.

That targa is pretty nice too. Targa's rule.

Bumpers are on the future to do list.
The tail is a Carrera tail, which I think is the same as an RSA tail.
Car is the original 1980 silver metallic color.

On the front valence, I sanded it down, sprayed a coat of primer, plugged the 8 holes (4 per side) from the fog lights with plastic caps readily available from Home Depot. My read deck lid already had 3 in it from the lack of rear wiper that must have been on the that decklid before I bought it. Then I sprayed 3m Rocker Panel spray, this is a pebble textured rubber coating and then I sprayed the silver. The 3M spray is similar to the rough textured rocker panels on late model MBs and Jags.
