How do I get to the shift coupler?
I read some posts that talks about an opening between the rear seats but I looked on my car and it is only solid carpet that seems to be glued down and does not look like it can be removed.

just pull lightly dont rip your carpet the panel is there.
It is actually in the rear footwell between the rear seats.

oh, ok ...thanks guys
now how do I change the bushings?
you have to uncouple the shifter make sure to put your car in neutral and mark the sift coupler with a scibe so you dont loose your alignment.
use a press or a socket & vise to remove/replace the bushings - there are pics on old threads if you search them up
cool thanks guys....I just got done doing the two under the shifter housing and it already makes a difference. I'll do the others this weekend.
The rear coupler is the one that made all the difference for me. You'll be pleased with the results.
I did mine a few months back using the socket method. Go slow and double check that the sockets are not resting on the housing so as not to break it. Mine shifts great now.
