Lots of Caymans in Florida

And in this case, I don't mean

I counted 9 Cayman "S" at our local Porsche dealer. All different colors. I guess not everybody in the market thought they hit their pricepoint.

Now the regular Boxster Hardtop er, I mean Cayman... is being introduced....

Bad for Porsche and their record profits - maybe good news in five years when I go shopping for a track car...

Personally, I like the Cayman. Always have.

Whether or not I'll buy one is still to be decided in the next year or two.

The editorial in excellence found the same thing, he was able to check inventories in alot of differnt spots and IIRC found there was a 45 day supply. They need to sell tons of them, that way they will be cheaper on the used market :-)) I like them alot BTW.

At 71K+ out the door plus tax on a reasonably equipped Boxter Hardtop..er Cayman...They did not meet the price point by any stretch of the imagination....

When whatever sales they have now slows to a meer trickle, the incentives will rise and prices will drop 20K just to get rid of them.

The Cayman is a 40K sports car......71K+ for a Boxter Hardtop is insane. I'd love to upgrade to a new P-Car but what's offered for the price I'd rather wait.

Yah I would like to see the economics that the bean counters looked at when setting up the argument for the Cayman market. I just cant beleive there are that many people around that can spend that kind of coin on a "toy". We should not judge though, porsche did not survive by being dumb. Maybe when/if the base Cayman comes out its price point will make everything make sense?

Boy I would sell the kids to get one for $40K. They are really fantastic to drive.

They are selling all Caymans in stock up her in the frozen north. I was in the dealership last week and someone even bought the demo car.

I like that Porsche tries different things, otherwise we might not love 911's as much as we do.

I never thought the Cayenne would do as well as it did nor did I ever think that I would entertain purchasing one... It would look great towing the ski boat.

Right, no problem with the cayenne as long as they keep making sports cars.

As a side note, I was at the book store 3 weeks ago and Consumer Reports have Porsches marked with 'red dots.'
