Cruise control vacuum?

On an 80 911 SC:

there are 2 vacuum lines on the cruise control servo. The smaller goes to the thottle body, but the larger one disappears into the body of the car just above the transmission. Where does this go?

If removing the cruise can I just leave the bigger line disconnected or do I need to either plug it or plumb it back into a vacuum source?

Thanks

I had some time to actually do a search on this this morning. According to this thread: Cruise Control connections , the thicker line is just a vent line and doesn't need to be connected or plugged

Someone correct me if I am wrong.
