Thumbs down HELP Ball joint mistake - need advice

sigh.. nothing is going to be easy, is it?
I have a stock 69 T coupe chassis. I bought a 79SC front strut assy. Just bought the early ball joints and all the hardware. Well, I bought the ball joints that go with the 69, but I bought the pin that goes with the later ball joint type ( with the wedge ). My ball joint has just a bolt & nut to hold it in, but that was with the stock struts. So can I use the ball joints I have ( 901-341-049-00-M69 ) with the circular cutout with the 79 SC Bilstein struts? OR do I have to re-sell these early ball joints back on Ebay and get part number 911-341-049-01-M69?

Never mind, I just looked, there is no way. I am F'd. Anybody want to buy two NEW ball joints shipped for $93 for an 69-71? OR trade for the right ones? What sucks is I got all this stuff ready and had it all sent 2 day air, and every thing showed up 20 minutes ago, but now I can't get that part done until next weeked...

No, not pelican. Bought from sleaze-bay. Note the price, $93 shipped for 2 BJ, which would be easily $40 more at PP.
Nope got to sell here or on ebay.

Have that beer for me....

Contact the EBAY seller. You may be able to return the ball joints, or exchange them for the right ones if the seller is a parts dealer. Even if the seller is a private party, he may cut you some slack. Many Ebayers are good folks.

Good luck

Joe
