Any one istall power locks in older 911?

I woudl like to hear some stories of what people have done, if they have done it.

I woudl want the power locks so I can get an alarm with push button locks but you need to have power locks to do it.

I have one from way back about seven years ago and it still works great. The module has pinouts for light flash, alarm, horn and engine disable. I was going to hook it up to the sensor plate circuit in the CIS. Never did though.

When the battery is low in the transmitter the range gets shorter.

The only thing I don't like is that the transmitter fob is not very good looking.

Easy to install.

I installed the aftermarket power lock kit from performance products catalog on my 73 911. Just recently I tied my alarm system directly into the harness. Now I have keyless entry just as I do on my Audi Allroad. It was very easy to install and took me around two hours with the bulk of the work being removing door panels etc..

I was mistaken about the alarm pin out- none.

Only:

Horn Circuit
Trunk release
Starter Interrupter
Lock Solenoids
Parking lights.

Some of these need a relay such as the trunk relase and starter interrupt.

I couldn't find an address on the insructions. It's dated 12-5-96. Vehicle Power Accessories Corporation.

I would have put it in the first post , but I had to go get it out of my trunk. I was leaving for dinner party.

Hope it helps.

any car stereo place will carry some

you can get the 944 door buttons with LEDs in side them and wire in to have a nice little 'don't touch me' display - had that in my '75

they don't add much wt.
