Ceramic brake failures?
Has anyone heard stories about ceramic brakes going bad after only a few thousand miles?
I have seen some posts and a comment in a magazine that indicates that they go bad under real world conditions. The rotors end up pitted and cracked, either from debris, or from failing to heatup and cool down properly.

I read the same thing: Ceramic brakes on high-dollar cars have been crapping out early, in spite of the 150,000 mile sales pitch. Glad I can't afford them - $5000 option.

I heard the optional ceramic for the new coupe (like a boxter but a coupe) was $8,000. Lighter by 50%. I wish the price would come down...this seems like the future but the price is not realistic. Are there any ceramic replacements for 911?

the price dropped about 45% in the first few years; was nearly $12k
I hope it will drop more... a lot more.
