Saga of alt. and electrical problems continue!!!
Well today I tried to put the alt. I fixed back into the car. I hooked everything up tightened every thing down and I then went to hook the battery back up. When I tried to attach the ground cable it sparked, well it didn't just spark it looked like a damn fireworks show. I checked all of the cables on the alt. and I'm about 90% sure they are correct. I'm confused as to why this is happening.

I disconnected the b+ wire on the alt. and now it doesn't spark anymore. Could a positive lead be grounded inside the alt. causing current to run through the ground posts on the alt all the way to the battery?
