914 v8.... Now I am not one to bash V8 conversions but

Just once I would like to see someone say instead of "invested" "XXXX amount of dollars lost (or pissed away) on this load of crap I now have to unload because of all the stupid problems it has that I am just to tired or lazy to fix or have done right in the first place"

link not working. paste in browser worked.

I built a 914 V8 car.
It ran very well and was very fast around an AX track. In fact at Irwindale speedway it was at least 2 seconds per lap faster than my 911SC turbo.
I sold it for under $7500 and made money on the car. Not much, but a little as long as I don't count my labor (which I don't). There is really no reason to loose money on one of these cars if you do it right.

BTW I could not wait to sell it.

I used to be really against this til last years concourse italiano there was a guy that had a 914/6 with a aluminum buick v8 it was totally amazing seeing a little 914 shake the ground like a chevell.

Garage
Isn't there a 914 forum for stuff like this? Go start an argument on V8 conversions over there -- we've had enough of them already over here on the 911 forum.
