Driveshaft Upgrade

I need to upgrade driveshafts on a 911SC that has a Twin Plug 3.0 litre that produces around 260 lbsft of torque and I am struggling to make a decision about the best way to proceed.

Can I fit Turbo driveshsfts compete with inner and outer drive flanges?

We have a fine spline 915 Transmission and Alloy banana Arms fitted to the car at present.

I assume that I would have to change both the gearbox and hub drive flanges.

I also assume that the Turbo CVs are stronger than the standard 911SC.

The alternative is to manufacture new gearbox output flanges with a 100mm PCD. There is a CV available to suit. The OD of the CV is 116mm and it has a 30 spline inner.

I can also buy this CV machined with cooling slots. The ID reduces to 115mm and it still has the 30 tooth inner spline.

This CV is used on the inner of a GT2 but I am not sure if this will fit in the SC Alloy banana arm

I would also have to make axles and I had thought about using a shaft which is gun drilled to reduce weight.

Any ideas ?

Thanks and Regards

Chris
