Anyone installed a CR-1,CD-2,CR-210, CDR-210 in a 69-73 911?

Was wondering if anyone has installed a modern Porsche/Becker radio in a 69-73 911 and what's involved. My car is heavily modified so I am not concerned with originality, however the new units with graphics are too modern for my taste.

What's involved in the install?

Thanks!

I have not installed on yet, but I have a CD-2 for sale if you are interested.

Thanks for the offer of the CD-2. Definitely interested in buying a CD-2 or CDR-210 unit and also want to understand what's involved in the retrofit. If anyone else has one to sell, please email me at steve.midgett@comcast.net. Thanks.

Be aware that these radios are designed for a curved dashboard. When you install on an older 911 the faceplate LCD is invisible to the driver. This has to swapped out for the correct faceplate. Yet another cost to consider,

CD-2 was an option on the 964. I believe that dash was still straight like the previous 911. I have a CD-2 in my 82 Targa. You will need to have the mounting sleeve and make sure you get a valid radio code with any use radio. The CD-2 was made by Alpine and is similar to their 7904 units.

It's not the best cd player. Skips a lot. I like the Blaupunkt cd127 in the Bimmer more than I like the Porsche cd-2
