Key locking difficulty

This started just today, when I close the door both fully closed, I tirn the key in the door handle and the lock mecjanism goes down then pops back up again not allowing me to lock the door, Is there an adjustment at the door latch perhaps that needs to be made?

That just happened to me yesterday. I had to lock it from the passenger side. Today I was playing around and hit the lock button on the center console before I got out of the car. Don't know if it had anything to do with it but I got out and was able to lock it from the drivers side again.

Maybe it was a fluke and the problem will show up again I don't know. Maybe someone can enlighten us both.

I've been having this type of difficulty since I got my 911.
I have the fully automatic locks (if the central locking system is messed-up I can only unlock the doors from the outside).
Last week I took my passenger side door panel off to fix the door handle and experienced the same type of crap after I put the door back together.
At first it would lock on the driver's side only and unlock from the passenger side only. So I disconnected the microswitch wire in the passenger side door (the way the car came to me, go figure) and then the car would lock and a second later it would unlock both doors. Very aggreviating, so I tried with the ignition in positions 1 and 2 and each time I held the central locking button in (for about two seconds) the doors would lock and stay locked, but they wouldn't unlock when I pushed the button a second time. I would have to disconnect the battery to get them to unlock from the driver's side door. So I played with it for about two hours until it would lock and stay locked from the driver's side. So I went to work the next day (my 911 is my daily driver) and I locked the car. I waited a minute to make sure it didn't unlock itself, satisfied I walked away. After work I got to the car and it was unlocked!!! I was a bit POed this time. The Next day the electrical locking mechanism magically worked the way it used to (which I think is wrong because the passenger side microswitch is still disconnected so I can't lock the car from that side). I'm just hoping that the system stays working.
I feel for everyone else who has this problem, very aggreivating.
