Any thoughts or experience with coolers
Electric coolers that is....
Now its a late night on the computer...and the wife swears up and down that Im cruising porn...but i wonder what she would think if she knew I was crusing the PORSCHE FORUM....!!! Now on to my question...I would like to pump more cool air into the engine bay... Is there an electric fan that will fit on the underside of the grill ..on a duck tail that can pump a lot of cool air into the bay? How about removing the belt driven alternator from the main pulley and gearing it to an electric motor (high torque type) so the airflow would be steady and constant at speeds equal to a high rev. Any thoughts.... Ok, i have asked enough questions, so I will go to bed.. Good night all...

This has been discussed at length before. Here's one of the discussions and here's another.
I don't see the benefit in it, since the main blower moves a phenomenal amount of air, and there wouldn't be any performance benefit from taking energy from the alternator instead of the crank. Are you seeing high cylinder head temperatures? Is there a problem with your oil cooling?

Jack I love the rear end of your car, I like the wide ass with the duck tail, I saw your other thread and if it were me I would change a thing.
but thats me. It seems to me that I saw some sort of fan unit at one time for the lid to aid in cooling the engine. I just put an electric fan system in my truck and ITS AWESOME, and I was thinking why not do the same for the porsche?
