Clutch fork and lever alignment
Sorry if this was covered clearly but I couldnt find it. I've also checked the tech articles, "101 Projects," and the Bently book.
When reinstalling the helper spring arm and the lever that fits on the splined throw-out fork, what is the correct procedure for determining the orientation of the splines to the lever? That is, if the fork is pointing toward the rear of the car, where should the lever with the female-splines be oriented? This is a 915 transmission, 83 SC. thanks

fork runs side to side. (perpendicular to car) and the lever arm is the same.
actually dont worry so much about it. you have to have all that helper spring BS disconnected when you mate the motor up with the tranny anyways. then when it is all reinstalled, you slide under to hookup clutch cable and all the acutremonts, it will be crystal clear.
