When was the last time you saw one of these?

I've been looking at a low mileage 911T for sale on ebay. The car is almost totally original. At first, when I saw these on the wheels, I thought they were paper clips. Then I realized that they were the valve stem supports for the steel wheels. I'm used to seeing the supports for the Fuchs but never have seen them on steel wheel cars.

Pretty neat, the fact that Porsche took care of even the smallest details and the fact that they are still on the car after over thirty years.

Chris, I saw your other post on this car and it looks sweet and the stem supports are another indicator of it's condition.
As for what it's worth that's subjective. It would be hard to find another if you even could in that condition, if it is what it says it is?.
This is why I don't like to surf ebay, to many goodies pop up that I have to have and wasn't even looking for.
Cheers and Good Luck

mine has those too...

yet another indication of that cars apparent originality. It certainly looks correct, I was amazed to see the coil cover in the engine bay.

Shawn.

And I don't even want to talk about the shine...

This sounds like a good candidate to jump on!

Valve Stems

Hey,
I own a 1973 911t and I am restoring it. I just bought some tires for it and took the old ones off only to find the tires had tubes in them.
I have been searching for valve stems that fit my factory alloys and I was wondering if you have any advice? I was told that the TR415 might work, what does your car have?

Is it certain that is a factory item, and not something added later?

added later ? nope it IS a factory item- a lot of you with original spare steel rims in your trunk may be surprised to find them.
