"There were 1093 coupes and 479 Targas in 1976 and 1473 coupes and 646 Targas in 1977 for a total of 3691."

"I have appraised a number of these cars and they are usually worth about what a 1978 911SC is depending upon their condition."

At least one other Pelican board member posted the information in the last sentence in this thread: Buying price for this 1977 911 Carrera 3.0 But I figured that a Panorama reference might give somebody a more definitive source.
