How about a flat dark gray, a few shades lighter than black. Pick up some of the gray from your paint. You'll have that purposeful "track wheel" look, but you'll still see the design of the Fuchs.

I agree - the newer Pcar color Seal Gray might be perfect. Or you could get a metallic gray with a lot of metal flake in it - might be an interesting look.
You can also go beyond just paint.... Here is an example of a Fuchs that I genetically engineered with a 993 Turbo Twist wheel as the donor of some genetic material... ![]() |

I think a faux anodizing(sp?) would look good. I found a picture of the paint some here on Pelican did to replicate this.
![]() primered wheel pedals silver wheel black can't seem to find the thread with the pic of the wheel but that's the paint he used. found the thread: Economy RSR Fuchs finish ??? tc http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=204863&highlight=economy+RSR+finish

Stay tuned... I've decided to powder coat the lips "Super Mirror Black" and the pedals satin black. I'll post pics.

Simplicity is always the key. The key to the simplicity was the old bushing lying around the garage that gave me an idea...
I put a bolt through the bushing and tightened it down on center, then chucked it into a variable speed heavy duty hammer drill like so: ![]() With the side handle as support, I just wedged it under the front wheel with my foot while I sanded down the lip with one hand. Works like a charm. ![]()
