901 torque question

Can anyone confirm the torque setting on the elastic screw (expansion screw, part number 901.332.275.01) that holds on the link flange for the differential gear on a 901 gearbox? If I'm reading the manual for the part correctly, it lists a range of 32.6 to 36.2 lb.ft, but I'm not sure. This is my first gearbox overhaul/go-over. Thanks for any help on this and thanks for all the posts that got me up to this point (gearbox now back together with new syncros on first, second, and third and new intermediate plate bearings). Tom

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure if I know the year as it is a gearbox I purchased for my 68 SWB, as it had a four speed in it (or rather, with it, as I bought the car basically in boxes). I suspect it is a 1966 because of some of the numbers on it but I'm open to suggestions. Stamped on the gearbox include the numbers: 28/66, 103124, and 901/02. As expected, when I removed the "elastic screws" they did not have the little nipples on them, as would have been the case with a simplified differential (prone to failure as Grady has pointed out). Thanks for any advice on the torque setting on these bolts. Tom

32 can't be too far off
