New (old) seats installed
Purchased a set of older Recaro C seats from a fellow pelican. My factory sport seats were in very old and tired shape even though they looked ok after the PO had them redone. I finally got them installed yesterday after some creative adapting of the new recaro slides and my older factory slides. I had to separate my factory slides and use the seat mounting side as shims to fit the recaro slides to the seats. Even got to use the air hammer that's been sitting in my took kit for a few years that came with my air compressor. I felt like one of those guys from the pimp my ride or something with the goggles and the dremel throwing sparks everywhere as I cut the adjuster handles off the old slides. FUN. Several holes drilled and new bolts ensured a secure fit to the car. They feel great, look nice and are much more stable than my old seats. A great upgrade to Wayne's old SC!
