Fog lights 911t

What looks best for the 911t (71')

Round fogs fitted on the grill vs fog lights placed under the bumper?

What was the original placement for the 911t?

Andreas,

Fogs were installed under the bumper, and driving lights over the grilles ... as options.

I have a 1973.5T with the Hella Amber rectangualr fogs under the bumper. I am sorry I cannot provide a photo, but the look is beautiful and the ambers work well in foggy conditions. The upper mounted lights were used more for rallying conditions.

IMO, Lewis's car is showing the "proper" fog light style for a '71...
John's pic is for '72 and up.
That is, if one wishes to follow what the factory did..
Of course, if one wishes to confuse things, the factory also used through the horn grill lights on their sporting purposes cars since the earliest days of the 911. People quickly picked up on the look, used it on their street cars.

Either option is a fantastic addition. I really like the driving lights on coldstarts 72T.

Ahhh heck, as long as we're sharing pics. I added the H-1's back in the 70's, don't even know if H-4's were available at the time. The USA through the grill fogs were installed at the factory, when the car was built...
