Bud,
Black= 911 T Green= 911 E Red= 911 S Raw fiberglass= racey racey (that pigment in the glass is heavy you know) Any other color is someones idea of "style" like metal flake purple out of a can.....mmmmmmm niiiiice Thomas |

Dont think so. 72 T should be black Easy way to tell is the riveted on cooling tin at the top rear,unless it was a really good paint job and they re riveted this piece back on or masked it well its usually greyish in color,if it was yellow,Mr patio paint had his way with it. The reason Im so down on spray paint is I just bought an otherwise good motor ,but the PO thought he'd "clean it up for me" and sprayed the s**t out of it with black paint........really gross Thomas |

Yeah....T is yellow. This was discussed ad nausem on the Rennlist.As I recall Porsche bounced around between yellow & black on the T.
I've got a yellow one on my 2.4L and it is supposed to be a 72 T but there aren't any numbers on the engine (s/n or type nos.). The heads don't have any injector ports, but the shroud had cutouts for them. The engine has 40 IDT's but the venturies are larger (30 vs 27mm). Looks like one of them here Califurnia rebuilds, but it runs good & doesn't leak much. |
