Hey Wachuko,
The reason we took out the rear seat bucket's was cuz we installed the adjustable rear camber setup from Smart Racing.
Plus it removes a bunch of weight. :D

Hey Doug,
Yes , We do have the beading tool setup.
We use it all the time.
We do this to keep the panel from oil caning.
Plus it adds strenght. We use on door panels too.

BTW, when I started this project, I gave Doc a long laundry list, written and verbal, of what I wanted done to the car. I just can't believe that he has captured everything I had in my mind's eye. From going over the pictures, he has done everything I asked, down to the smallest details...I'm impressed. I would've figured that something would be overlooked in a big project. Doc is amazing!

No motor or tranny yet Doug. Hopefully, I will pick up this roller at the end of April/beginning of May. I'm then going to install a coilover suspension Steve Weiner designed/spec'd out. The engine & tranny will be further down the road.

Still some road ahead so to speak with your project. It will be done before you know it.

What wheels are yours? How did they treat the Fuchs? (IE surface prep, powder coat, paint, etc.)

Mine look like crap and need to be redone, since they are Lindsey's early attempt at RSR finish. They were just media blasted with no protective treatment.

They are Lindsey's but with the final version of whatever his RSR finish is. I think he (Mike L.) went from your type of finish, to powder coating (which was nearly impossible to get an even finish) and to the final version which I have (media blasted and then painted).

Doug, do you think Harvey Weidman would anodize your Lindsey's? That would be the ultimate solution...just don't know if he would do "hybrid" Fuchs weld-up wheels. I don't see why not, but you never know.

Al Reed would definitely do them. I spoke to him about them before running mine.

Al suggested I try them out, which I have done for about two years. I should have had him annodize way back when.

I will do so, soon.

what are the sizes?

I am thinking of buying the moses fuchs and then have them anodized. Does anyone know if it is possible to make these repro fuchs look like your RSR finish i.e. lt grey sides/pedals AND pedal background Black all with an anodized finish??

Keep going on the project. I am sure that staring at that tub will fuel you on to completion!

You can get the Moses Fuchs to look like these. They will be painted whilst these (correct me Mike if I am wrong) are anodized.

These are Lindsey P1 wheels. 9.5x17 and 11x17. Moses Fuchs are only avaliable for the moment in 7.5x17 and 9.5x17. 11x17 are in the works and it will depend upon demand if they make it to production.

Mike's Lindseys are custom made so that Mike could specify backspace and offset to fit his suspension/brakes specifications.

Matteo is right...they are Lindsey P2's in the 9.5x17 & 11x17 sizes. They aren't anodized however, they are painted. Mike Lindsey tried bead blasting w/leaving them untreated but I think DWSD is having oxidation issues. Then Mike Lindsey went to a powdercoating finish which gave him a lot of trouble due to uneven finish results and he eventually abandoned that. Now I believe he just paints them on top of the media blasted surface which gives it that anodized look. I'm sure you could ask Mike to leave them raw so that they could be sent to Reed or Weidman for anodizing. Mike has the offsets which work with the various cars. Mine were a special offset since I'm using turbo trailing arms. The offset would've been different for the same car with carrera trailing arms. M. Lindsey knows what he's doing, if you send him some 6x16 cores and your car type, he can accommodate you. BTW, Jack Olsen uses his Lindsey's to race so there are no strength issues/concerns.

All I know is that anodizing is tough but I dont know if this 2-step or 2 different color finishes can be done...anuone know??
