Disconnecting fan...simple question

I want to isolate a sound I hear from the block and need to disconnect the main fan. Can someone tell me from where I disconnect it? Do I also have to disconnect the AC motor?

Thanks

The fan that cools the engine? The big one? You need to take of the belt.

Yes the big fan, I simply do not want it to turn while I listen....so I want to cut its power for a minute...

It is turned via the fan belt you see...

by the way.....dont let the engine run long without a fan....or you will be hearing really bad noises of fried engine internals...for what it is worth
