CIS Fuel Lines
I had a no start problem on the 78 SC today. When I went out to troubleshoot it this evening, I quick checked and did have fuel pump operation. In the process of putting my gauges on the fuel distributor, somehow I managed to break off the fuel line from one of the banjo fittings, such that there is only about 3/8" of brass left for the fuel line to connect to. I doubt this is enough, so I need a new banjo fitting, and probably a new fuel line. Our hosts do not seem to have what I need in the catalog.
I did a search, and thanks to Jim Sims, found a link for http://www.specialtauto.com/ while searching this thread Cis Lines No Longer Available? My question is, did the factory swedge the plastic fuel lines so that they fit on the banjo fittings? The end I cut off the bad line went flying somewhere behind the engine, so it is not readily available to examine it. Should I just replace all six of the lines while I'm in there? After all, it is 28 year old plastic. I welcome any input on this. BTW, from what I could tell, I had only 30 PSI of fuel pump pressure (whle holding my finger over the bad banjo fitting). The fuel filter was pretty dirty. When I went to change it, the new one was the wrong model. Then, after I fix this, I can resume troubleshooting. Bad day in the garage. Pat

Update:
Anyone yet find a source for the extremely elusive metal lines? Thanks! Pat
