Welcome Home, Porsche #5!!
Hello Pelicans! Well, I seem to be changing p-cars once a year over the past 3 years, but I think this will be the one I stick with for a while.
It only took about 2 weeks of intense searching to find the G50 Carrera I was looking for within 2 hours of home. She's a well cared for '89 Coupe with 86,000 miles. Pretty much all stock except for upgrading the stereo to a CD player with 10-disc changer. It looks like I am the 4th owner and the car has spent its life in Southwest Michigan. I barely had it home before starting to think about mods...but I've exceeded my budget for the moment, so I will just "run what I brung" for the rest of the summer. Anywho.....hear are some pics!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() Yeah, that's our Evil Moonbase in the background We're lucky to live in a great neighborhood here in South Bend... we love our home and our neighbors dearly. You can see from some of the other pictures that we live on a wooded cul-de-sac. I can't wait to wake up the surrounding neighbors early in the morning again with the sound of an air-cooled engine at high-idle. Woo-hoo!! Mike: The Boxster is sold, but still parked in my garage until the new owner sends someone to pick it up later this week. He lives in North Dakota and saw my ad on the Pelican Classifieds. He and his son co-own and drive a 75 911S, but the Dad wanted a more refined daily driver. He sold his '94 964 a while back and has been kicking himself ever since. Quote:
![]() www.lumpocole.com/doug/1970911t Tim: Doug has my old T now and the above link will allow you to continue the lusting....it's a sweet early 911. We call her "Foxy Brown" for obvious reasons, but she can appear black in color in the right lighting (or lack of it). As for everyone else - thanks so much for the compliments!! I rather like the chunky bumper pads myself, but I will spend the next few months thinking about what to do with the Fuchs and tail. For sure, I need to lower to Euro ride height (although it seems fairly close to that now?). I keep thinking about polished spokes on 7's/8's and a losing the whale tail in favor of a duck tail. We'll see....meanwhile, here's a few more pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Matt that's just so awesome! (..and I'm glad you know I'm kidding you..) I almost broke down yesterday and traded the Subie for a Boxster. There are two close by that are "within price range". But of course, I'd lose my shirt on the trade in. Not surprisingly, the Subie is now up for sale. (..well, in about five minutes it will be - www.lumpocole.com/doug/subaru ..) If we do this right, Doug can keep Foxy B as well! (..unless it sells between now and then..
![]() Next time we're up, we may have to come over for a ride. ![]() ...and I'm not kidding about that backdating thing... ![]() Cheers!

Same year and same color. Ah to have a stock car. It seemed like 100 thousand years ago. (And a 100 thousands $'s). Enjoy it. Now you just need to get a plate to celebrate it.

Oh, that's a beauty, 89-911!! Nice rear bumper and dual exhaust. What wheels do you have on there?
Doug: Thanks, man! So you're telling me you might actually get to have your cake and eat it too!?!? DANG!! Boy, Julie is an exceptional woman. Jeez, at this rate I'm NEVER gonna catch up to your "Part of my soul" total! ![]()

Well, you notice I said "if I do this right". In the past, I've had trouble with that part.
![]() But I DO agree with that "Julie is an exceptional woman" part. ![]()
