Think You Are An Expert..Figure This 911 Out...Pics!

So its a 959 body kit on a cabrio but what model year 911 do you think it is and which body kit? And the weels are OZ and the door mirrors are 964, that much I figured out

Porsche Crest

Looks like it was a 'Speedster' when it left the factory ...

It's probably an ultra-rare SWB 1964 that would be worth hundreds of thousands in restored condition.

It could be any year 911 65-89 that was converted to both speedster and 959 look. I'm guessing a 89 and earlier body because of the rear wheel spacing. Like Early S says it may have been a factory speedster but people do the conversions all the time.

I agree. I'm not a fan of 959 body kits but that one looks to be well done. Perhaps a Getty setup.

The 959 body kit: You get the questionable appearance without all that irritating 959 performance

I like the front vents - both front center and sides - and the headlights...

The inset door doesn't do it for me -- even on the real 959s.

OK, I'll narrow it down to a pre '86 (or was it '87?) 911 donor if the original center reflector was used.

I think it is ugly, but from the pic above it appears that someone with some skills put it together.

Cheers

It looks cool, but I wouldn't buy it.

Good luck to the owner to get it appraised for the cost of the doner car and the cost of the conversion. Needless to say, what it may be worth to him or her.

I think it would look better with a pair of fart cans on the exhaust.

The doors are probably the only un-molested part on the whole car.
