I’ll be changing out brake fluid soon.
The Bentley Manual on page 470-2 says: “The brake fluid reservoir also supplies the hydraulic clutch master cylinder. It is a good idea to also flush the clutch slave cylinder when replacing the brake fluid.” On page 301-10 there is a photo of the clutch slave cylinder, with bleeder hose attached. It appears to be at the top of the clutch housing, and I am wondering if this can be accomplished without lowering or dropping the engine. Any one done it? Any idea what size plastic tubing to get?

I've done it. It's a PITA. I got there from the left side. I used a longish box end wrench on the bleeder so I didn't have to keep putting the wrench on/off. Don't remember what size tube is needed.
One issue I had was that I jacked up the rear pretty high for access to the slave. The high rear tips the fluid reservoir so much you have to be careful to not run the fluid too low and push a bunch of air into the system. (the feeder tubes are on the aft end of the reservoir) I think I also dropped the tranny a little bit. Not enough to disconnect anything but enough to be able to reach up there.

I've heard others say they remove the slave from atop the trans. (still leaving it connected to the hyd. flex line) and bleed it that way. I'm trying that next time because I have a heck of a time getting the hose and wrench up there without making a mess of brake fluid. VERY frustrating.
But the key is to pressure bleed the slave if you remove it from the trans. Do NOT pump bleed it by pressing the pedal if you have the slave removed from the trans. You'll pop the pushrod out of the slave body.

I've pressue bled in both my 911 and a 993 without dropping the tranny. IIRC, the hose is 3/16" ID, get it long enough to reach your catch bottle (in my case, a wine bottle). I usually jack the car high up in the air, but leave the car on four stands (which I do for the brake bleeding anyway). Lay on your back, feet towards the rear of the car. You'll be hugging your tranny. Put the box end wrench on first, then the hose. The hose holds the wrench on. I want to say 9mm, but could be wrong. It's easier to do by feel than trying to contort yourself to look at it.
Given the high probability that I'd introduce another problem by removing the slave, I've had no problem leaving it in situ. Don

From memory I think it's a 7mm spanner on the slave bleed nipple.

Oh yea keep an eye on the brake fluid level when sucking. Cause it is real easy to suck air and then that REALLY sucks
