Hopefully the last post on my CIS Problems

OK, The fuel distrbitor piston was siezed I soaked it in some carb cleaner for a week and now the piston moves freely. Now here is the problem, fuel flows through the injectors when the key is on not running. I have adj. the air plate, checked the air meter and still the fuel just flows. I am thinking it needs a new fuel Distribitor. Any more guesses? Thanks for all of your guys help!!! Paul

what does the air sensor bar feel like? do you have resistance? if the plunger drops with gravity, i bet the FD is bad. you didnt take the FD apart, did you?

If the key is on and there is fuel flowing, there is resistance

Paul: there is a switch activated by the airsensor. If the sensor is at rest (air NOT flowing, therefore engine not running), the switch opens the electrical circuit to the fuel pump and the fuel pump stops. If you remove the wire from the switch, that switch is inactive and the fuel pump runs with the ignition on, whether or not the engine is running.

The connector is on the forward side of the sensor housing -- in front of and below the air hose between the airsensor and the throttle body, and closer to the sensor. The wire and its connector (looks like the electrical connectors on the WUR and the AAR) should be lying around the forward part of the engine -- the side of the engine you can't see, of course.
