Porsche Crest

What year and model car???

When was the idle speed last set, and at what speed? Any other recent history on the engine and performance issues?

1983 911sc, Engine starts fine, idlels fine at 8500-1000rpm. Recent tune -up. Drove to NYC and back, 100+ miles. Came to a stop on a hill and car dies. Re started car and drove 10 min. came to stop and car dies again!

I had the same problem when I had the MFI. Now have PMO's and rarely happens (a quick tap of the gas keeps it from dying when taken out of gear). I'm interested in others' responses to this.

You might want to turn that idle down a bit.
