Remove Zenith Venturi

Since you Zenith guys are online right now, can you tell me how to remove the Zenith venturi? Or the better question is how do I remove the accelerator pump "nozzle" that hangs over the edge of the venturi?

THANKS!!

Stephan - It is just a push in fit. Has a small o-ring that holds it firm. Twist and pull. I'm not far away from you in clear lake.

Hey bob,

You are right down the road! I'll give a it a try. I thought they might pop out but was afraid I'd screw up the accelerator pumps.

Yep, like Bob says, just pull straight up with a bit of twisting and they should pop right out.

And I'll be in both of your "neck of the woods" at JSC for a few days in late July!

Well it's hot. Very hot. And after dark I can't even go in the garage on the account of the helicopter size mosquitoes. I did go out long enough to get one changed out. The little spring plate that holds the venturi in place went flying and was a little bit of a bit@ch getting back in.

Thanks again Bob!

I finally got around to finishing this up. After replacing the venturies and putting the carbs back together I turned on the fuel pump to let the carbs fill up with fuel and to check for leaks. One of the carbs shot fuel out one float chamber vents. I took the top of the carb back off and noticed that on that side there was a small tear in the gasket between the venturie opening and the float bowl.

Is that probably what caused the float to stick (as in air getting in or not sealing) or should I replace the gasket AND keep looking?
