It's final-my new 964 is home!
My search is officially over, I shook hands on a 1992 Amazon Green over tan C2. More remarkable than the pristine condition or the 22K miles is that it was only 100 miles from my home. The last car I bought was from Pittsburgh-700 miles from home! Needless to say, today was a big day in the Hildebrand houshold. I think my wife and kids were more excited than I. Following is a brief photo essay of our day.
We've prepped the front for a 100 mile drive. There's a LOT of rocks, stones, and bugs between here and home. This pick was taken right after I told my wife I would be driving the 911 and she the minivan.  It was a beautiful drive from Baraboo to Madison where the C2 was to have the PPI done. One can not overstate the wonders of air conditioning and cruise control.   These 3 were there to greet us at Kelly-Moss in Madison WI.  We hung out by the capital. Here is my wife and son sitting at Starbucks.  After a nice day in Mad-town we headed back to hear good news. Three percent or less across all 6. No leaks. Nothing needed.   A fitting toast upon it's arrival home. New Glarus Spotted Cow from near Madison. M'favorite!  The plastic is removed to reveal a perfect front bumper. Not one chip! A lot of people say they are the ugly duckling of 911s. I love those cars. Yours is especially nice!

I've always wondered, where are the back-up lights on the 964 and 968? Their taillights are all red.
