Spark plug wire size
My 84 carrera calls for 8mm spark plug wires but 8.5 seems more common. Is it just because of the size of the plug separators that the 84 uses 8mm or is there some other reason..

somebody along the way determined that 8.5mm was the maximum effective jacket required for street use. maybe it was Jacobs...
