Help with JAEGERMEISTER orange
My 1970 911 is about to take the final step in the restoration of its body / chassis: a paint job. I have been looking for a long time for just the right shade of orange I can't live without and have finally found it on an original RSR, namely JAEGERMEISTER orange.
Can anyone out there help with a color code, or a mix formula or steer me in the right direction towards a specific paint manufacturer. Any help will be much appreciated.

Get ahold of Dave at Dart Auto. He has a Jaegermeister Orange race car that he has painted a couple of times. I think he actually matched the color from a bottle of the juice! He'll know the code. His number is 303-296-1188 or Dartauto.com Good luck, Jess |

Re: Help with JAEGERMEISTER orange
I believe this is the same shade of orange on Carlos de Quesada 74 RSR
http://www.pbase.com/slidevalve911rsr/911rsr_factory_cars_1974_heimrath_rsr I'll ask my dad. Alain Quote:

Saw this car at Road Atlanta last weekend. Looks like about the right orange.

Here is a link to my current and past jagermeister colors
past on top, I matched the Jager bottle to several paint chips. The lower color is redder and I believe an original Porsche color that my painter had a chip for. If interested I can get the code http://dartauto.com/racing.html

I think it is Continental Orange...just like my car:
Continental Orange was a factory color in '76, '77 and '78 at least... Mike

Continental Orange
Here is the Glasurit formula for the color Continental Orange POR 107.
I know 9stuffMN on this board or the "parts for sale" board posted he has a stash of gallons of the Glasurit Single Stage 21 Paints. Limited colors. Bob

This is the code for Continental Orage assuming you need Glasurit 55 (ask your paint shop what base they are going to use).
Amounts in litres (for the whole car) Base -------Amount -----Cumulative 352-91 ----174.8 --------174.8 A143 ------460.9-------- 635.7 A257 ------333.7 --------969.5 M25 -------22.1 ----------991.5 A352 -------1.8 ----------993.3 Once you know the code or the name of the color you are looking for check this page http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/ Click on the Search for a Formula link under the COLOR ONLINE section. It's very easy. I found the formula for my Mexico Blue that way. Good luck |

Mike - IROC,
Do you know who manufactured the Bumpers and tail on your car? Looks like you have a great fit on the front bumper.

Continental Orange doesn't have enough cream in it. It looks too red. I think the Jagermeister orange is more, well Cream.
Pretty close to Stewart's Orange N' Cream

The continental orange looks closer to the bottle of jager than the orange crush or the jager cars though
