remove throttle cable Q.

1 st and foremost, - if you have a older car, go buy the throttle fix for it as it is going to break at the most un opportune time.!! Mine came apart at some sort of rubber bushing ( delaminated)
......Now the Q. what is stopping me from pulling it out of the tube.?? with it all un hooked up front seems like it should pull out the rear ... some thing is bringing it to a halt on the way out...any ideas ??

Check to see if your hand throttle on the parking brake assembly is stopping the rod from coming out of the tunnel. Also, there are 2 or 3 plastic bearings inside the tunnel held in place by bent metal tabs.

You may not have to pull it all the way out, just enought to clear the throttle bushing on the throttle rod.

See image.
