Porsche Palooza - post your pictures here

Well , finally made it home a little bit ago from a great weekend up in the Ozarks. Geeze, what a ncie weekend and what a GREAT event. There were about 120 cars that showed up I think. Here is a picture of the show and shine on Saturday. Only half of the cars there entered the show and shine...

Big tip of the hat to Leonard adn Melody Zechedrich (sorry if I messed up your last name guys), Chuck Gibbon, Rick Dees (not the radio show host), adn countless others. This is one top notch event which I am sure will only get better and better with each passing year.

There were some great drives Saturday morning. We chose to participate in the "spirited" drive, War Eagle, and man was it fun most of the way - got behind some non-Porsche traffic for part of it. I took my three older(13, 9, 6) sons with me and they had a blast! Met a lot of great people there including Bivenator and a couple of other Pelicans.

I won a nice Ruf T-shirt too... (Ruf had 2 cars there on display - a tangerine Boxster S and a green GT3 monster)

The drive home today was long, but it was most enjoyable on the first leg of the trip as we drove down Hwy 7 from Harrison to Russelville, AR. This is a must drive if you are ecver in the area. We drove up to Eureka Springs Friday on the Pig Trail (Hwy 23). Honestly, I would recommend Hwy 7 100 times over Pig Trail.

Here are a couple more of my pics...

Well I had an awesome time as I knew I would. For those that weren't there, on the way back home, my thermostat stuck and my car started overheating. Hats off to David for getting me back on the road. You truly are a jack of all trades and good man to have nearby. I don't know how, but I seem to have taken some awesome pics with my little camera. Some of them look like I was a professional. Anyway, give me a little time to resize them and I will post some goodies. Here is one for now. This was on the way to Little Rock.

It was a great weekend, couldn't have asked for better weather and what a great location. It was great to see such a large and varied gathering of Porsches here in the fly over country.

LandShark928's 928 there on the right while all was working well.

Tom Oxner's very nice and fast car.

A few shots from the Show and Shine

The Ruf guys brought the RGT up from Dallas, we were all hoping this was going to be one of the door prizes.

This was a nice car in a great color, the photo doesn't do the color justice.

A really nice S, one sharp car.

RouxRoux and wife's cars.

Quad fours

And a poor attempt at a panorama.

Someone said that pink car was a factory color.

Loved that gold longhood on Bob's first pic. Nice ride...

This car seriously looked like the guy bought it and never drove it... it was that clean. I wish I had a picture of the engine bay. Absolutely flawless...

This 1972 color is Fraise #024 a special order color. I saw another one, a 'S' earlier this year and the striking thing is how the color changes with the lighting.
It is almost pink in bright sun to a deep raspberry in cloudy light.

It was a perfect weekend...great weather, folks, cars. Here are a few pics. The cars looked nice, but were miniscule compared to the natural beauty of Arkansas during this time of year. See y'all again next year, maybe I'll be almost done with suspension on Diane's car by then

...The picture above is just a sampling of the beautiful fall colors. There were few places with a place to pull off of the road (many places no shoulder at all), so had to take advantage for a picture there.

That silver haired automotive sage is my bride who pried herself out of her Caddy seat long enough to carefully inspect all types and manner or Porschii. Finally pointed at "That one" and gave me offical permission to buy her a Boxster.
I had adroitly dragged her by all the lovingly maintained 70s and 80s stuff...Mollusk lacre encrusted irritants before porcine critters.
