AC fix usually isn't so easy on a 930, a friendly caution -

I see you've owned Jags before - you'll have plenty of patience.....or are just insane ;-)

A/C blows cool but not cold it all works. must be insane especially since I did this. Fenders have headlights in them and a single motor to open both sides. I think there is a bar that runs from one to the other. I hade them shipped so I will have to wait on pics. Can't be as bad as an A/C on a Jag. Leakdown don't now yet compression within 5 pts on all cyls. Runs fast and strong.

I would not change any cosmetical parts until you get to know the car and find out IF there is any surprises after being stored for so many years. Also, with the mods you have listed above, that throtle pedal - for toe & heel - , 4" exhaust and "custom wrapped" steering wheel I would get to know the car first... put several hundred miles on it and drive it hard before getting into anything else.

Remember to go into turns slow to get out fast.

Good luck!

the 4" exhaust is a B&B ss header/exhaust system yes the pedals and steering wheel are going to go. You don't like the custom wrapped it goes with the sheep skins that were already pulled off and the bra that is next.

Damn, that marks it as a better buy than my NICE 79SC I bought in 1999 for 7k!

Here is some more info about car. The intercooler is made by Andial racing and it also has their fuel inrichment system installed. Not knowing enough about Porsches is this a good system?

That's a good sign, Andial is the best! Not as active as they used to be, but still one of the best systems out there. The use of Andial equipment means - to me - that the PO had $'s and knew about turbos = good news for you...

Craig 930 RS 07-31-2006 01:31 PM

Could be a good sign. I hope you got some maintenance records.
IMO the 80s IC is offset by the fact that it sat for 8 years - never, ever good news.

But in light of the price you paid....a good deal.

slant nose fenders with a single motor to raise both lamps? cross bar link for inside the trunk with the motor to mount in the middle? Factory stuff guy- uber rare parts- put a high price on those and just be patient for the real $$ to come in for them

Since they are on the way (had to ship them) don't know if motor is in center but yes bar to run from each fender with single motor. The PO said they were original Porsche and with all the other things I am finding I have no reason to doubt him.

i have been hearing more and more of a few slant noses made before they were actually an option...so maybe u have something really rare....

however for how cheap u got the car, and with the B&B, Andial etc its seems like it could easily be a truly great car..

I hope so the paint is a little rough the interior really is in good shape. I think with a good cleaning, softening, redye the seats will be fine. The car just needs alot of TLC. I don't know what else I will find that the PPO, he is the one that spent all the money on the B&B, Andial and who knows what else, has done.
