Cruise Control quick Question

84 Carrera. I'v got the cruise control servo, heater blower, airbox all out of the engine to remove the engine pad that was falling apart. I know this might sound like a stupid question but I don't need the cruise control so why not just leave it out. Disconnect the cabble, put a cap on the vacuum and zip tie the breather and wires. Am I missing anything else? Its not part of a grander control loop is it? The DME not going to freak is it?

nope. You can pull it all just as you said.

The important part is to cap that vacuum line.
