Wanted; Pics of narrow body with 15X7 rears

I am looking for pictures of narrow body long hoods with 15X7 Fuchs. I have 15X6 now with 185/65/15 tires and it looks dumpy. I am thinking of going 205/55/15 fronts with 215 or 225/50/15 mounted on 15x7 wheels in the rear. Any tire size recommends with pics would be great. Would 205/55/15 work all around on my current wheels. How wide can I go with 6 inch Fuchs and stock ride height and suspension? Did a search but got mixed results that didn't help much.

You're talking the"wide" 7's? Not R wheels? It can be done, but you may find yourself needing to increase torsion & sway bar sizes to prevent rubbing during cornering. You might get away with not rolling fender lips with skinny enough profile tires. 215/50 might work, but keep in mind the outer side of the tire gets moved out with the 7's...Here's a pic of Tom Wikinson's "T dream machine" back when it was in his care. I loved the car then.
I can't remember the tire size...maybe 225/55 but don't make me swear to that.

again, these are 16x7's, not 15x7's but they're the same offset and are wearing 205/50R16's. They don't rub at all, and although the ride height is a bit on the high side, even during aggressive cornering with stock torsion bars I can't get contact.
I think the problem is more related to the width of the tire than the rim (within reason).

Okay...15X7's, 195/65 yokos, (the modern size closest to the original 185/70 michelins) suspension mods, plus rolled fender lips. Fender lips rolled back in the 70's...don't know that I'd do it today.

this is with 15x7's with 195/60 yokos (nla)

suggest that that you take a look thru Tire Rack or Coker to see if any of the sizes you are looking for, actually exist any more. And, if they are still offered for sale, are they speed rated for P-cars?

15X7 with 205/60's Yoko AVS' on Stay Puff. No rubbing issues on any corner while running size 26 rear TB, a rear sway, and some -2.5 deg of rear camber. CB and alignment by TRE.

Thanks for all the pics and replies. I am leaning towards 205/60/15 or even 215/55/15 (if available). Does anyone know if those sizes will fit my current 15X6 flat Fuchs or would I have to go to 15X7. What is the widest profile I can put on flat 6s?

drill down a couple of levels at the TireRack to the technical specs of the tire you are interested in. they give you the size of the rim that they used to get their measurments (dia, rpm, contact patch, etc), and the acceptable range of rim widths that the tire will fit.
the 6x15 will probably seat a 225 but it is not recommended for optimum handling.

I assumed these were 6/7's, but I posted to ask and some people thought they were 7/8's. I'm am sure of the fact that they are 15's!

Good luck-

Here's a pic with 225/45/15 Toyo RA-1's on back. No rubbing.

This pic is with 225/50/15 Toyo T1-S's on back. They rub a bit on the lips of my rear (not rolled) fenders. Also, the track I was driving on has a tight, heavily cambered turn called the Karousel, which really loaded up the suspension. The 225/50's burned the paint a bit on the fender facing the outside of the turn (right side). Oh well. Either I should've been running shorter tires (e.g., the 225/45's), raised my ride height, or run a much stiffer suspension setup.
