To me, when it's not in the typeface that Porsche used, it doesn't look right.

I agree...and there are much better versions sold by a Pelican member so I would choose his.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking the typeface/style is perhaps 'period-correct' (for a modern car) if not an historically accurate homage to the original.
I still have mixed feelings. John |

I actually think it's not too bad on the 996. Plus your only into it for a minimal amount if you hate it.
