Heater/Performance
I have a 84 Carrera with a mild early 964 motor already installed when I purchased it a few months ago. It was a southern car and most heater related equipment was deleted. Although it does has cold A/C. This is my daily driver and long range cruiser. I have been collecting components to reinstall the system before winter. One of the components is a used 3.2 liter exhaust system with heat risers. I have already installed this along with a cat and a stock C2 chip to get the car through emissions. The car passed. Problem is that I want to replace the Stock exhaust with the headers and sport exhaust that was on the car when I got it due to the lack of performance that it know exhibits with the stock set up. How can I get the car to make heat with the hi performance set up? Is there a shroud that is available that surrounds after market headers that works in the same fashion as the stock exhaust? Is there a way to utilize air that is moved around the engine to cool it? Any heat will be better than none. Any suggestions? Thanks.
