Most people who replace the York compressor with a sanden or seiki seiko compressor tilt the compressor so that the hoses are on the side. Less chance of interferring with the condenser and possibilities of damaging the condenser.

....interesting idea for the A/C compressor!!! I will spare the whole story behind this Targa.....but after 7 months, 3 fuel pumps, 1 gas tank, a bunch of fuel filters, injectors, and an overfilled oil tank (puff, puff)....I' ve got it to run!!, now if I only could find an electric motor and a sun visor for the passenger, maybe I could also get my girlfriend to come for a ride.....
