Weber P/N help
Can someone help me identify the weber PN 40IDT3C.
Excuse my ignorance but is this a good item to put on a 1975 2.7 (currently stock but looking to upgrade only a little)? I've seen the 40ID'x' numbers but I honestly don't know what makes them different. Can someone please explain. Thanks in advance. |

I'm not 100% sure but it sounds like the model carb that was used in the late 60's & early 70's 911 T's. I think the internals are all interchangeable between the triple 40 series carbs for Porsches.
You would have to modify the jetting & venturis to suit the bigger engine but yes I think they would work ok. I'm in the process of rebuilding mine for a 2.4 S spec motor. If you search webers on this site you'll find a thread somewhere that gives jetting recommendations for the different engine sizes. Richard Parr at PMO Carbs is your man for parts. Good luck
