930 Front Valence Pics

Want to put in a front cooler on my 930 and would like to see what others have done. This is a pic I hijacked to start off.......

This is from my DP Gallery page. It's one of a few different front spoilers DP offered.

Is that the same as the one on this car? If not does anyone have a frontal shot of this one?

I can't answer your question above, but here's a shot of a 930S front valence that I found somewhere on one of these forums. Note that it's a little different than the red car above, in that it has no brake duct openings below the fog lights. I'm installing a fiberglass 930S valence (that looks like the one below) on my 930, along with a big center cooler, but I'm omitting the fogs in favor of air ducting to the fender-mounted oil cooler and brakes.

Here's the best picture I have of the oil cooler vents in my C2 front bumper. Unfortunatly it's also the pic some joker at work took after he put a paper VW emblem on my car. The background isn't too bad though. Too bad she doesn't work here anymore.

David,

I can't tell from the photo, but is a large portion of your front cooler blocked? It looks like a big cooler with two small holes in front of it. Or are there two individual coolers, one behind each hole? If it's the former, I'd consider getting out saw and enlarging the opening.

Agree on the background babe. She has a smirk on her face -- and a camera. It looks like she was in on this ploy...

It's one large cooler so the center is blocked. There's also not much room behind the cooler so it's certainly not ideal but the car ran pretty cool. Much cooler than I've seen with the stock cooler.

I believe the spoilers on the two red DP's are the same. The profile of the spoiler matches the fender in both shots.

They are the same spoiler. I confirmed it with the owner of the second DP. The only difference between the two cars are the wheels & script.

Here is a link to the ones "for sale" on my site. http://www.dp935registry.com/ads.php The silver one recently sold for around $41K. There were a couple last year that were in the $50K range. There are a couple in the $60-75K range. Really based on the condition, documentation etc. I really like the black targa.

Pretty much home made using the original one, still in the preservation group.

Harold,
Can you get the guy to send you a shot of the front and post it here? Also, do you know of any good quality DP body kits?
Pat

I think this 930S valence looks like the one on the 2nd red DP car. Where would one source this valence?

The pic you show above is the same valence shown on the gold-colored 930S photo I posted above. If you want the brake air scoops and the foglight openings, I don't know where you'll find it. Regular 930S valences, like you showed above, are available from a number of fiberglass body suppliers. I bought mine from Peter at Rennspeed. He was very good to deal with and delivered on time, but expect to have to send a check -- they don't take credit cards. Mine cost $250, and I think boxing and shipping was $95 to Seattle from LA. It was of very good quality - very workable considering how bad these fiberglass parts can be. Expect to spend some time fitting and finishing it, but mine needed no major alterations.

A link to the part I bought on their website is:

Rennspeed 930S valence

There are a number of other suppliers as well, including Better Bodies and B&W Motorsports. The latter has no website; do a search and call them.
