Engine mount torque
Before you blast me into the "a search goes a long way" regime, I did one and it didn't help!!! What should I torque the rear (cross member) engine mount bolts to. I am sure the large bolts have a setting and would expect the two small ones to as well. The other problem I have is about how to tighten them if they indeed have a torque setting. The nut needs to be held with a wrench so a torque wrench on the top would be useless. Any help would be appreciated.

In looking through both Bentley and Haynes, I concluded that the small bolts should be torqued to 18 ft lbs and the large bolts should be 58 ft lbs. Both books say 80Nm but show 56ft lbs and 58 ft lbs. for the large bolts.
I am unsure how to get an accurate torque reading with a wrench on the one end. I didn't use a torque wrench when I put mine on. I might suggest that a helper could hold the wrench and you could torque the bolts as close to 58 as possible. In reality, you will get them very close. As long as you don't crazy and snap them , you'll be fine. The lug nuts are supposed to be 91 ft lbs. You could use that "feel" as a reference point? Hope this helps a little.

Hold one end or the other (nut or bolt head) fixed and tighten the other with the torque wrench. Either have someone hold the other end fixed with a tool while you operate the torque wrench or allow the tool (wrench or socket handle) on the other end to rotate around until it contacts and reacts against something.
