neat looking 911... it does have some unique features for sure.. The rear flares look to be a bit wider than a stock SC....

I this the proper S dash and gauges, thanks,Marty
|
yes, yours is a proper 's appearance group' dash, plus you have the 's' tach, redline = 7,300
't' trim, or base model dash, only had the 3 the center gauges, thoses birds are rare today. |
Hey Marty, just noticed this thread - congrats! Looks like a good find. Nice to have another one around the area!
If you want to see S trim, take a look at the pics of my car (click the www button below my sig). My car's a T but has S options. |

That car looks like it is going to be too much work, Marty. Better get rid of it locally before you have to put too much work into her. I know of someone would be willing to take it off your hands and into a good home. I also hear that those seats are really uncomfortable with all the holes in the leather. Sport seats are also really really heavy. I'll help you lift them out of your car for you.

Okay, I'm officially jealous....how is the center of the dash? Any cracks? BTW, I love the car. Especially the interior (except the wheel)
|
Hey Richard, how goes, dash has no cracks or warpage although I am afraid to find ou whats underneath the tweeters, best case scenario there will be a 2 sided tape mark fore sure
|
btw, there is a down side, look at this http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1155587938.jpg although it all seems to work

I'm not sure what's wrong with that picture, unless you mean the fact that there's no battery there. Lots of early 2 battery 911s have been converted over to single battery, mine included.
edit: ah, ok. the spaghetti factory :) What's the thingy with the switch? |
you're too quick Christien

Great find....
Enjoy it. If it was mine; the short list would be. Up front: H1's Black tape on the front bumper RS style. Ditch the driving lights or source a set of round through the grill driving lights. New black plastic horn grills up front. In the back: Different rear bumper, possibly just a plain RS rear bumper or a set of the touring RS steel bumpers to go along with your flares. Ditch the large Porsche reflector panel. Leistritz factory muffler. Delete the 911SC on the rear deck (keep the deck). And finally lower the car front/rear. That's just my tastes. Of course do what you want with the car. It has the good bones, so you really can't go too wrong. Above all else enjoy it and do your own thing.   |
I thought that was what it said - what's that?
|
Christien,it hooks up to the battery and sends pulses through the metal to keep the molocules active so they don,t have a chance to sit still and start rusting, who knows
|
i think they used to sell those electronic molecular rust inhibitors at the county fairs. probably still do. i seem to recall another improvement called the spark o matic.
|
I see that you decided to flip the car. Was it too much work for you?
