Rear Spring Plate Cover, INFO needed
I need two of the covers for the rear torsion bar to spring plates. Or if anyone has the part number that would be great. (Not listed in PET) Photo of the arm with the plate missing.

Don’t think these are offered separately. But a member here had created a slick “boot” cover to give the same functionality. I hope someone chimes in with the details (I can’t easily search at the moment).

I just had the same situation. I had to reach out to a salvage yard in CA that specializes in Porshe's and had the guy take them off a wrecked car. PET does not offer them. I have tried !!!

Or for that matter, go to you local hardware store and find a plastic or metal cap that fits.

Electrical conduit plugs from Home Depot. They are tight so heat them up in real hot water first.

you can also get the ones for the sway away adjustable spring plates. I found them at auto atlanta or the Porsche place that is named close to that. I ordered 4 and keep the two extras in a parts box.

Actually, I believe the OEM plugs were metal & were staked in place to keep torsion bars from working out. You can see the stake marks around the perimeter of the recess in the photo of the first post.
Perhaps you could measure the diameter of the recess & then buy freeze plugs from your local auto parts store. I did not bother with caps or plugs on my car. |

Odd that you can buy them for the front but not the rear.
